Emile Malo-Renault stalk : Malo-Renault, pseudonym of Émile Auguste Renault, born in Saint-Malo on October 5, 1870 and died in Le Havre on July 19, 1938 is a French draughtsman, pastellist, engraver and illustrator. According to the art critic Emile Sedeyn (1871-1946), man of letters, editor of the “Figaro illustré”, the artist realized in a first inventory at least 300 engraved pieces.

Former student of Auguste Lemoine and Stephane Pannemaker at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris. Emile married in 1897 Honorine Tian, artist under the name of Nori Malo-Renault.
Our artist participated from 1903 to 1928 in numerous exhibitions at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beax-Arts, of which he was a member from 1910. He is a representative of the “art nouveau” style with a Japanese influence. He illustrated many books. Among the authors who called on him: Joris-Karl Huysmans, Charles Gailly de Taurines, Maurice Venoise, Ad. Gauwin. He joined the Historical Society of the VIth district in 1925
