Jean Daullé (Abeille, 1703 – Paris, 1763) was a French engraver. Son of a goldsmith, he was trained as an engraver by Dom Robart, member of the priory of Saint-Pierre d’Abbeville. When he came to Paris, he entered the workshop of Robert Hecquet (1693-1775), who like him came from Picardy. His work was noticed in 1735, thanks to the engraved portrait of the Countess of Feuquières, notably by the merchant and engraver Jean Mariette, who recommended him from then on. Jean Daullé then became close to the painter Hyacinthe Rigaud with whom he would remain friends and who wanted to make him his official engraver. Daullé was admitted to the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture in 1742, when he presented Hyacinthe Rigaud painting his wife, an engraving after the eponymous painting of the painter. Later, he was also admitted to the Academy of Augsburg.
